The Story Behind the Tool

By the time a loaf reaches the oven, much of the work has already happened.

THE BAKING STAGE

You have mixed, waited, folded and shaped. The baking stage brings those decisions together, and lifting the lid becomes the moment when you see what the dough has become.

A COVERED BAKING VESSEL

The Loafmora Cast Iron Bread Oven gives that stage a distinct form. A shallow base leaves the loading area visible, while the dome sits above the shaped loaf.

The graphite exterior and pale interior keep the design simple enough to belong among everyday kitchen tools. It is a vessel for returning to the same process, recipe after recipe, learning from each bake and making room for the next one. Your recipe, dough and handling still guide the result.

Baking Covering Revealing

Thoughtful Details

01 A shallow loading base

The low-sided base provides access around the loaf when loading and removing it with suitable tools and heat protection.

02 A tall matching dome

The curved lid creates a covered baking space above the dough. Follow a recipe suited to a covered bread vessel.

03 Enamel over cast iron

The design pairs a cast-iron body with an enamelled surface and two clearly differentiated tones: graphite outside and pale inside.

04 Handles on both sides

Integral side handles provide two points for controlled movement. Both the base and lid become hot during baking.

Made for These Moments

01

A round weekend sourdough

Choose a boule recipe matched to the base dimensions and the space available under the dome.

02

Repeating a favourite loaf

Keep the vessel and recipe consistent while you practise the stages of mixing, shaping and baking.

03

The reveal after a covered bake

Remove the lid carefully when the recipe calls for it, using proper oven gloves and a heat-safe resting surface.

How to Use

01

Check

Check the assembled vessel against your oven and leave room to grip and remove it safely.

02

Prepare

Prepare the dough and vessel using the supplied temperature and preheating instructions alongside your recipe.

03

Load

Load the shaped dough carefully into the base with the required heat protection.

04

Bake

Position the lid and follow the recipe for covered and uncovered stages without exceeding the vessel’s confirmed limits.

05

Cool & Clean

Remove using oven gloves, transfer the loaf to a suitable cooling surface and let the vessel cool before washing.

Size & Fit

The planned outside dimensions are 33 × 27 × 19 cm including handles and knob. The usable base is approximately 24 cm across and 3.5 cm deep, with about 14 cm of interior height under the closed dome.

These are fit dimensions, not a guaranteed dough-weight capacity.

FAQ

Q1. Will it fit my oven?

Compare the full 33 × 27 × 19 cm footprint with your oven, allowing additional clearance for the handles, lid and safe removal. Do not judge fit from the base diameter alone.

Q2. What loaf size should I make?

Choose a recipe whose shaped loaf fits the 24 cm base with room to expand under the dome. Dough weight varies with hydration, flour and shaping, so there is no single capacity in grams.

Q3. Can I preheat it empty?

Use only the preheating method authorized in the supplied care instructions. Do not assume every enamelled bread vessel accepts empty preheating.

Q4. Can I use it on a hob or over a fire?

This product is planned for oven bread baking. Use other heat sources only if the final product instructions expressly authorize them.

Q5. Will it guarantee a crisp crust and an open crumb?

No vessel guarantees a particular loaf. Dough preparation, fermentation, shaping and the baking recipe all contribute to the finished result.
