The Story Behind the Tool

Finishing a cake is often a matter of looking again.

THE FINAL DETAILS

You smooth one area, turn to the next and notice a small edge that needs another pass. The process is easier to understand when the cake can come towards your working hand a little at a time.

A CONTROLLED DECORATING SURFACE

The Loafmora Weighted Cake Turntable is made for that sequence of turning, smoothing and checking. Its broad top gives the cake board a place to sit, while the cast-iron base brings weight beneath the working surface.

You supply the pace with your hand and stop wherever you need to look more closely. From the first crumb coat to a final border, it is a tool for practice, patience and the satisfaction of seeing the finish come together.

Thoughtful Details

01 A broad working platform

The 30 cm top gives a cake board a defined surface. Centre the board and keep its supported footprint in mind.

02 Weight beneath the work

The cast-iron base places mass below the rotating plate. Set the whole stand on a stable, level counter before decorating.

03 Hand-controlled rotation

Turn the plate as far and as slowly as the task requires. The bearing assembly supports the manual movement.

04 A fixed, horizontal height

The top remains level at a 12 cm working height, providing a consistent position for applying frosting and checking the sides.

Made for These Moments

01

Applying the first crumb coat

Turn the cake gradually while spreading a thin initial coating using a separate suitable spatula.

02

Smoothing the outside

Work around the sides in controlled sections and pause to inspect the finish before adding more pressure.

03

Piping a border

Bring each section towards you with gentle hand movement while using your own piping tool.

How to Use

01

Set

Set the stand on a clean, level worktop and check that the base does not rock.

02

Centre

Centre a suitably sized cake board on the platform and make sure it sits securely.

03

Turn

Turn the top gently with one hand while applying frosting with your chosen tool.

04

Inspect

Pause to inspect the cake from different sides and keep the load centred throughout the work.

05

Transfer

Transfer the cake with proper support under its board, then wipe and dry the stand.

FAQ

Q1. Does it use electricity?

No. You turn the top by hand. There is no motor, switch or battery compartment.

Q2. Can I change the height or tilt it?

No. The working platform stays horizontal at a fixed 12 cm height. Choose your counter position accordingly.

Q3. Can I put a cake directly on the metal?

Using a suitable cake board makes positioning and transfer more practical. Select a board that sits securely on the platform and supports the cake when lifted.

Q4. Does it include tools or a cake board?

No. The product is the assembled turntable. Prepare your own board, spatula and piping tools for the method you plan to use.

Q5. Is it the same as a display stand with a dome?

No. This is a rotating work stand for decorating. The separate glass stand is a fixed serving piece with a cover; neither is a transport container.
